On Saturday, I imagine doubts started creeping in big time. I imagine they were all thinking of how they could escape. They were most definitely not planning on preaching about Jesus. Then, He appeared to them. His wounds were revealed and touched. He had proven to them, that yes, He was indeed the Son of God.
He blessed them with the Holy Spirit and then they went out and changed everything.
No transportation, no media, no printing press.
If there had been no resurrection, Jesus would have been just another false prophet.
It truly is mind boggling. Happy, happy Easter, one and all.
Secular thought always tries to downplay the centrality of Man in God's plan for creation; and thus, reference is always made to our tiny little insignificant planet.
Those who have studied these things understand that we here, on what is not a planet, because it is stationary and does not wander, as the Greek word suggests, are the apple of God's eye, and we are at the very heart of His plans for eternity, and centrally placed in the heavenly realm, as even "science" concedes to be at least a possibility.
Maybe the satanic Katy Perry can set the issue straight, as she is now fully qualified to do so, having recently had a brief excursion into that starry realm.
I always wonder how those who embrace the satanic ideology of "outer space" and "distant planets" explain the fact that scripture tells us that in the final day of His wrath, these heavenly bodies will fall to earth - Wormwood being the great exemplar of this.
Is such a star, therefore, "light years away from us," as science so called tells us?
Or is it perched above our very heads, slightly below the very Throne of God?
Our earth, to howls of disbelief and outrage from many of those who think we live on Newton's spinning ball, is flat and stationary.
And thus, "Every eye will see Him" when He returns in glory, with His heavenly angels, to wreak vengeance on the fearful and unbelieving.
Christ is risen - and He is soon to return.
Be ready when He does, with your lamps trimmed and burning, and full of the oil of the spirit.
