Thank you Dr. Christian, what you write is true and encouraging. Couldn’t help but think of a quote by E Stanley Jones: “It is easier to meet with opposition then it is to meet indifference.” It is the LORD’s transformative love that makes all the difference in the world. May He give us more of His Spirit to love those who don’t seem to care. In Jesus Name.

Well done again Dr Christian. Such an accurate description of much of our present psyche and media complex.

Thank you Dr. Christian, interesting essay, informative and inspiring as always. I enjoy your writing style. You are a Poet! I have never looked up the word "Nihilism" so thanks for the education on the meaning of that word. I have always consider myself an Idealist or an Optimist, with a Vision for a Brighter Future for Canada. This was why i choose to run for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada in March-April 2022, in hope that they had turned a new leaf and were truly open to "new ideas fact and science based ideas, improved Systems of Government" to create a Brighter Future for all Canadians, especially the lowest income Canadians living below the True Poverty Line of $50,000 Per Adult, and to build a Canada based on the pursuit of Truth, Freedom and Justice. As you know I was met all of the qualifications, Conservative Supporters and Financial Required etc. yet we were removed from the CPC leadership race for reasons that made no sense to any of our Campaign Team. Regardless we moved on and we continue to support the CPC is the only real alternative to the extremely corrupt Liberal/NDP Coalition. We must remain Optimists and continue to work diligently to do all we can to put some meat on the bones with ideas and accountability against corruption to restore Canada to be a great Nation under God! The Ottawa Trucker Convoy was God's Plan 1.0! The National Citizens Inquiry is 2.0! Looking forward to God's plan for 3.0 and 4.0! With God as our guide we cannot fail! Without God our opponents cannot succeed! Best Regards, Joseph

I think RFK Jr. was in the news recently for giving voice to the false claim that COVID was generically targeted to not harm Chinese or Ashkenazi Jewish people. I have not followed this issue, but if indeed this is what he thinks, then it is an example of how "idealism" can sometimes succumb to conspiracy theories. I think idealism is important, but it too can become elitist. One of the problems is that we are encouraged to be very strategic, and there are relatively few "successful" people who do not seem to be also highly strategic and instrumental in their approach to life. A part of idealism is the wish to pursue things for their own sake, not just as a means to an end.

Nope. What happened was that there were studies indicating that Chinese and Ashkenazi Jews were less susceptible to the virus, and RFK had read them and was speaking on the topic based on the fact that he read the study. All those accusations thrown at him were deliberate misframings, truly disgusting.

I have not followed that case closely and have not seen the studies that he referred to (in any case, studies should always be scrutinized closely for possible bias and agendas). There have been racist and antisemitic conspiracy theories about "Jewish-controlled Chinese labs"--so I am not at all sure that the concerns about what he said are as objectionable or illegitimate as you suggest.

RFK's participation in a particular event does not mean that his reference to studies that raise alarm bells about bias in these studies should not be scrutinized. If he deeply cares about treating people without bias, then this experience might help him to learn more about bias and how it can influence the results of studies.
